Quest Harbour Village is uniquely located on the quay at Challenger Harbour in the historic port city of Fremantle. Founded in 1829, Fremantle is one of the most beautifully preserved port cities in the world, with many of the older buildings which date back to the mid 19th Century being classified by the National Trust.

 

Following the successful challenge of Australia II in winning the America’s Cup yacht race in 1983 at Newport, Rhode Island, the City of Fremantle was then announced as the host of the following America’s Cup defence to be held in 1987. The defence of the America’s Cup was a catalyst in revitalising the city, its port and historic colonial buildings.

 

Whilst the defence of the America’s Cup may not have been successful, its legacy today may be seen in the vibrant Fishing Boat Harbour, the ‘Cappuccino Strip’ of South Terrace, its Mediterranean cuisine, boutique bars and alfresco cafes.
